A Grain of Sand

"I will multiply you as the stars in heaven and as the sand upon the shore." - Genesis 22:17

Hope v. Fear

Extraordinarily unsettling news out of Iran, as we have all heard. And while the dangers of a tyrannical and oppressive Islamist (as opposed to simply Muslim) regime acquiring a nuclear weapon cannot be turned away by words and hope alone, William Faulkner's Nobel acceptance speech from 1949 inspires confidence. Hope is not enough, but any attempt to turn away such dread must be rooted in it.

Rabbi Rose so accurately stated “Hope is not enough (to turn away a nuclear attack from Iran), but any attempt to turn away such dread must be rooted in it.” Where there is hope there is ideas. Any idea, no matter how seemingly flawless, is just that, flawed, The only real hope is to build an Ark of the Covenant to exact specifications made by the Lord and ask someone with the “balls”, no matter how small, to open it. If the Lord does not kill him, He may unleash perfect merciful justice in the protection of the good people in Israel and around the world.
The modification of American war planes and development and use of bunker busting nuclear weapons are not going to do it. Only the all mighty anthropomorphic hand of the Lord of Israel and the world will do it. I cannot see a better thought for the immediate short term protection of Israel and world peace than to do what the Lord told us to do to ward off our enemies and that is build the “Ark of the Covenant.” It must be done with the right intentions and without any intentional mistakes or changing of the specifications for it.
